THE DICTIONARY OF

OBSCURE BLISS

Words are events, they do things, change things. They transform both speaker and hearer; they feed energy back and forth and amplify it. They feed understanding or emotion back and forth and amplify it.
— Ursula K. Le Guin

The dictionary of obscure bliss is about flipping the coin on sorrow and distilling instances of bliss in everyday life.

WELCOME!

The Dictionary of Obscure Bliss was created when the message of ‘blissDesigned’ started coming through. It was my first attempt at shining light on moments of unspoken bliss we all are capable of experiencing in our daily lives. It came as an inspiration from the ‘dictionary of obscure sorrow’ by a designer who formulated over 140 words on undefined sorrows. I realized how intimately I was connected to the sorrow-filled words, how we are so familiar with our pain. Instantly I felt that bliss deserves a dictionary of this sort. And so it was born!
