Risa Kaparo, Ph.D. Risa Kaparo developed Somatic Learning® during three decades of research, clinical practice and training of health care practitioners. She has taught worldwide, including at MIT, China's Dalian Medical School, India’s Jindal Global University, JFK University, CIIS and Esalen and Kripalu. Dr. Kaparo leads workshops and professional trainings, and works with clients in the Bay Area and internationally on Skype. A long-time student of Vanda Scaravelli, David Bohm and Jiddu Krishnamurti, she has authored Awakening Somatic Intelligence: The Art & Practice of Embodied Mindfulness with companion CD & DVDs. She is also an award-winning poet/ songwriter - Awaken and Grateful, two CD's of poetry and music - and Embrace.
